Driving Station for conveyor lines
Conveyor lines are relocated with the help of so-called shifting crawlers. Drive stations, as well as take-up and deflection stations of very long conveyor systems often form independent units, which also have to be moved.
For this purpose, GBM provides very powerful drive stations mounted on skids or driven crawlers, which run in synchronism with the return process of the conveyor system. If they are not equipped with own crawler tracks, GBM specially designed transportation crawlers are deployed to lift and move the entire station.
Shifting Heads
Sustainable development of the belt conveying technology has resulted in current domination of continuously operating conveying and handling systems. GBM shifting heads are specially developed components of the belt conveyors for a flexible and economical arrangement of the conveying routes in open pit mines or stockyards.
The targeted transfer point formed by shifting heads links numerous opencast mine conveyors in a system, in which all incoming material flows arriving from overburden and mineral extraction areas as well as outgoing mineral conveying and overburden disposal processes can be efficiently controlled.
In stockyard facilities, the shifting heads provide such transfer options, which enable material quality selected handling. The main reason for this is often the origin of the raw materials, which arrive from the most diverse deposits all over the globe.
Tripper Car
The main function of GBM tripper cars is basically to offload or divert the material from any location on a stationary or shiftable belt conveyor onto:
- transverse belt conveyor,
- receiving boom of a spreader,
- receiving boom of a spreader over own discharge conveyor,
or to directly dump it.
The tripper cars are therefore often referred to as transfer car.
Tripper cars differ in the design of travel units which can be built rail-borne or on crawler tracks. These machines find widespread application in all industries, being useful and reliable links within conveyor systems.
Feeding Hopper
GBM feeding hoppers are robust low-maintenance equipment which is the first to receive the bulk materials delivered from a mine or within a handling system.
Under the hopper whether an apron feeder, a chain conveyor or a belt conveyor is installed, which are designed to take the material from the hopper for its further transportation or direct handover to a processing facility.
In the design of the feed hoppers, special attention was paid to wear protection and ease of maintenance in order to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operation of the downstream systems.
